Refund Letter

Dear Student,

If you are anticipating a student account refund for the Summer 2017 term, we will begin processing refunds on Monday, May 22, 2017. Please refer to our online refund schedule for more information on when we will begin processing refunds for your school. Our goal is to issue a credit balance in the form of an Automated Refund without you having to formally make a request. The system will automatically identify any eligible excess payments that post to your account beyond your tuition charges and fees. Once identified, a refund will be processed and forwarded via direct deposit or paper check.

GSAS Students Only:

If you are anticipating a Summer 2017 refund from a credit balance on your student account, we’ll begin processing refunds for the Graduate School of Art and Sciences the week of May 22, 2017.

Your school’s level of participation allows you to receive your refund by placing a request via Student Services On-line (SSOL).

Our system will automatically identify any outstanding credits that post to your account beyond your tuition charges and fees. To receive a refund, please log in to SSOL and choose the refund request link from the student account menu. Complete and submit the form which will be forwarded for processing the following business day.

The quickest and most efficient way to receive a refund is electronically, so if you have not already done so, please log in to Student Services On-Line (SSOL) and enroll in direct deposit. However, if you prefer a paper check, please add a local or permanent address, to where you would like the check to be mailed.

To determine if you are eligible for a refund, log in to (SSOL) and check your refund status.

FYI: Changes made to your registration could result in an adjustment that may create an open balance after a refund is processed.

If you have any questions regarding your student account, here’s how to reach us:
  • Use our online Q&A tool, Ask-Us
  • Call us at (212) 342-4790
  • Visit us in person at 141 Black Building, Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm
We wish you the best of luck as you begin your studies.
